I can't believe I'm bored enough to watch Beyblade again XDDDD I like the Jap OP!!! It's 'Fighting Spirits' by System-B. The singer has a unique voice :D

Anyway. I can't believe I'm watching Beyblade again XD I van still recall most of the storyline (I think) and I remember liking Kai, because he was the only non-hyperactive freak there XDDD And for some reason, I associate Kai with that episode in which he was in some school thingy (It's not in the first season) and he had this random house/room thingy with photos and medals and stuff. And I think Dranzer (or Suzaku if you prefer that, and just because I only have access to the dubs doesn't mean I don't know the names in the subs :D ) was there too XD I think the room got trashed by some random intruder though XD I wonder why I remember that episode? XD The only other thing I clearly remember was that Kai defected in the first season (Sheesh, everyone I like either defects or dies) and the 'LOL I'M GOING BACK TO YOUR TEAM' thing happened on cracking ice. (Yes it was a lame scene XD 'GIVE ME YOUR HAND LOL')

It was a nice series, and it didn't get repetitive or anything, probably because it ended so fast. I wish they'd shown more character development though... All the interesting background info about Shito was stuffed into the last 3 episodes or so, and it was really really rushed and under-developed. But the series is worth a watch I suppose.

Studying with WeiQing is fun XD Especially if you're studying Lit XD I still don't like studying Merchant of Venice though. All the characters annoy me. And yes, I do sympathise with Shylock. It wasn't really fair for him to be tried in a Christian court; it practically guaranteed that he was going to lose, because everyone was obviously against him from the start. And he didn't get real justice, because come on, blood comes with the stupid flesh.

...I suppose I don't like Portia. I would like her alot more if she showed true mercy to Shylock, and let him go. Hypocritically, it's easier to write that she was showing justice and mercy in the exam, so if that comes out, I will write that she did show mercy, and Shylock got his just desserts. Sad.

Lol, I suddenly started developing a liking for emo songs. MUST BE THE EXAM'S BAD INFLUENCE. I be stressed D:

PS3 games :DDDD Folklore is pwnsome :DDDD There are actual combinations that you have to use the Folks in! And here I was thinking that it was just a random 'run about and spam the A button' game XD Brillant graphics, and the Ellen (female main character) is really cute, if a bit... Irritating at first XD Keats scares me though -___-|| I assume he's the main character, but I'm not sure, 'cuz I've only been doing Ellen's part. And I'm only on the third chapter (I've only clocked a little more than 2 hours so far)...

I'm sorta stuck because I think I suck at taking on multiple enemies, so I'm practicing XD;; I really need to remember not to step in the enemy's line of fire -___-

One thing not so good about the game is that the camera angle becomes kinda screwed if you lock onto a target. And it's a bit hard to see whether your Folk is actually having an effect against the enemy >___>

Oh well. Better go study now. Two more weeks to major PS3 spammage :D

I'm bored even though I should be doing homework and revising for the upcoming stoopid EOYs gah T___T But I shall slack, because I just suck like that.

Anyway. I was looking through some of the old entries that I never posted (i.e. They're still drafts.) and I found this post about Claymore that for some reason, I didn't post. Hm, I wonder why. Whatever it was, Claymore is a great Anime, even though the deviation from the Manga kinda sucked, and everyone should go watch it NOW :D

Okay fine, so I first started watching it because the starting was nice and bloody and cool and main character had these 1337 and pwnsome cat-eyes, but that's not the point here. The point is that the storyline ROCKS and they paid attention to little details like how Claymores don't call themselves Claymores, and townsfolk enjoy kicking out the Yoma's 'relatives' (All aboard the Angst Express!) and how a body that the Yoma has taken over can still cry. It's the little things that count :D
And if you don't like this kind of stuff, then go watch Claymore for the awesome backgrounds :D

Teresa is pwnsome |D I shall fangirl. Why do all the people I like end up dead or buried under piles of rubble? I think a lot of people are stressed about EOYs. And I don't feel like I'm as stressed as I should be. Oh dear.

But I shall not go on hiatus with a looong rant about how everyone around me seems to be overly obsessed with their academic results, so I shall post random slackerish stuff.

I HATE DRILLING IN TRICKSTER FREAKIT. I mean fine. If you're a Sense type. GOOD FOR YOU. But when you're a freaking noobish 1432 Dragon, DRILLING SUCKS. And so many quests involve drilling T___T Stupid quests.

But magic types rock, because you can just do hit and run strategy when training, so you get like 0.9% experience every time your Mana Arrow hits :D I think hit and run is somewhat... evil, because it feels like I'm cheating or something, but it's freaking hard to level up otherwise T___T And so many other people do it so I assume it's not illegal or anything (Some levelling guides even ENCOURAGE you to go hit and run super high levelled monster XDDD ) But I'm completely lost in the new maps T___T WHERE ARE THE POPOS? I need to go hit and run them |D

It is now confirmed that I will phail my Chinese. ||orz I need a better study plan, and a nice friend who will force me to study ;___; Speaking of which, I realised that I don't really have any VERYVERYVERY good friends. Unless Kath is counted. And it's kinda pathetic that I'm closer to an online friend that a real-life one >___>;;

Anyway. MY JAP ORAL DIEDED ON ME. Firstly, my reading the passage was very slurred, because 1) I think I read too fast and 2) My pronunciation was never very good anyway. And I pronounced a Kanji wrongly!!!! DX And then, I think I sped through my speech, and I stumbled. Like quite a few times. Finally, during wonderful wonderful conversation, I forgot how to say 'family' so I said 'siblings and parents' which sounded damn weird. Then I couldn't understand her question about something in my school (In the end I assumed she was asking me about whether I joined a club in school, or some extra-activity or something like that...) and when I answered with 'Angklung Orchestra', she looked bewildered. (Don't blame her actually. Very few people seem to know about Angklung) And I forgot how many people there were in Angklung, so I said 50 DDD: I think that was too big a number ;___; And a lot of my sentences were gramatically wrong (I think). And I think I forgot to add 'から' when I replied to her 'どうして' questions!!! DDD: Die die die die die!!!!

And on an unrelated note, OKAY FINE. I DO HAVE DARK CIRCLES UNDER MY EYES. I suppose it's true if my normally oblivious mom notices. And since I can't count on denial to drive them away anymore, I shall uh. Say that having eyebags/dark circles is FINE because everyone in RGS has them anyway :D (Okay, stereotyping. But shhh.)

Kath, you own me a drawing and letter because I have finished watching all the D.Gray-Man AMVs that are of a decent quality on Youtube (aka that whole list you sent me). Every single one of them. And I don't know how you plan to test and see if I'm speaking the truth or not, but I did, so my conscience is clear :D

Speaking of D.Gray-Man AMVs, why are all the songs used so darn EMO?! Like seriously, all the emo bands have at least one song being used (Linkin' Park, Within Temptation, My Chemical Romance)!! DGM is not that emo darnit! It has it's random dark moments, BUT IT IS NOT EMO. Not in the least. Ok fine, maybe the opening and endings give off the wrong impression that DGM is emo, because they're so dark and black and stuff. But the show itself isn't really that emo. Just some scenes contributed by Allen Walker mainly XD And other than that, it has its funny moments too! But the AMVs only seem to show emo versions >__> Not to mention that practically ALL the Kanda AMVs have around the same clips >___> See! It shows how lacking in airtime Kanda is! XDD

Chocobos be cute :D Like really really cute. And you can ride them :DDDD Or you would, until you get your airship. Because airships are just so much faster than Chocobos ): (Cid's airship looks vaguely like a blimp) But you still need a Gold Chocobo for Knights of the Round :D And their hair is so cute and spikey and funny~! And Cloud is totally Chocobo-head. (Not FF:AC Cloud though. His hair is boring and flattish and doesn't stick up like in FFVII D: )

First off, a plea: Don't take Kanda away, HE PROVIDES SUCH GOOD ENTERTAINMENT AND EYE-CANDY DDD: Take Allen away or something, I wouldn't mind (as much) :D And no Junyu, THE FREAKING UMBRELLA THAT TALKS IS NOT CUTE. Neither is Rhode. She's just... freaky. And no matter how much you deny it, we all know you ship Rhode/Allen XDDD

I needs more good D.Gray-Man fanfiction ;___; Someone recommend me a fic! I don't mind most pairings, as of now I read Kanda/Allen (But I will NOT touch Allen/Kanda, because everyone knows Kanda can't be uke.), Rabi/Allen, Kanda/Rabi, uh... I read Rhode/Allen once... And although I don't mind Rinali, I'd rather she not be paired off with anybody. Yeah. See, I don't mind most pairings really. So somebody recommend me a good fic? ;___;

I admire people who can draw nice animals. Especially photo-realistic ones. Because those are just darn cool. And obviously I can't draw. At all.

Yuki's (Suzumiya Haruhi) voicer sings well. Except then she barely sounds like Yuki. But I think she sings better than Aya Hirano *brick'd* WHEN IS SEASON 2 COMING OUT?!? T___T And ____, hurry up and release the season 1 discs. YOU'VE LICENSED IT FOR A YEAR OR MORE ALREADY. Unless they're already out and you didn't tell anybody, AS ALWAYS. And you blame fansubs for low sales? For shame. I hope the quality's better, because there's no way I'm gonna be able to convince my mom to buy the American version, much as I want to for the better quality...

Therefore I shall post some random stuff that has no correlation to anything whatsoever.

First off, Yahoo!Mail hates me and is taking a billion years to load each message, and it demands that I press the refresh button every five seconds. Thus I am unable to communicate with the rest of humanity who isn't on msn, and I have no way to remind Mish that SHE STILL HAS NOT SENT ME A CERTAIN PIANO SCORE.

Secondly, Ratatoullie is a great movie. A brilliant mix of comedy, stupidity, and the 'aww' moments that every D*sney/Pixar film has to have. They even managed to mix in a life lesson! And Remy is cute :DDD Like really really cute. And Skinner and Ego are funny. And Colette was LOL. I liked her accent XDD There is a serious lack of females with her personality :D Best quote of the movie: "Just shut up and eat your garbage!" |D

Thirdly (Pay attention kids, this is how NOT to write a good essay with nice conjunctions), I like D.Gray-Man anime more than the manga. the manga has a weirdish drawing style at times. And Kanda looks cuter in the anime :DD (The artist draws him really freakishly in the manga at times. And he looks girlier in some frames too XD ) I want to watch the episode which he washed his hair!!! (Because I'm just freaky like that :D ) So does anyone want to enlighten me as to which episode it was? XD Or did it just appear in the manga or something? Ohoh,

Must be the Twisties XD Anyway, it's so funny how Allen Walker is so fixated on winning when he plays card games (ie Poker XD) Speaking of which, Poker is a fun game :D Obviously I don't bet money or anything when I play, but it's still a fun game, especially when you play with chips XD Playing with Jokers is good! I like Kanda! Yes, I like him even though he's a cold-hearted, arrogant jerk (even moreso than Mustang) and his first name leads to the mistake of 'I like Yu(you)' lol. But better than somebody who made the mistake of going 'I like _____!' which Charmaine thought was a certain other _____. XD This is why it's better to like people with uncommon names (as Singaporeans go) or dorky names that no one uses much (like Edward XD) Anyway, Kanda is cool (Come on, he's the only one in the series with an actual weapon-weapon. I mean seriously, boots?) but he kinda sucks at the 'I'm not going to save you if you fall behind' part because everyone knows he shows up at the last moment (DRAMATIC ENTRANCES FTW) anyway XD

So I don't think anyone has noticed, but I've been really jealous of some people lately, and as a result, I became somewhat moody. Not angsty, just moody. Really D:

So anyway, my grandma unexpectedly arrived (Hey, nobody told me okay.) today and my bed was like, a total, total mess. It looked worse than if a tornado had hit my room. No seriously. So then I went all "OH SHIAT OH FISH OH FORK" and proceeded to shove all the stuff on my bed under my bed. big improvement, except now my stuff is gonna get eaten by dust bunnies. Grr. I am established insane lunatic of the house. But it's a nice position, you *sorta* get away with doing really random things.

Nothing against emo people, while I don't think being emo is cool, there's nothign wrong with people wanting to be/being emo either.

... But I do have something against people who say stuff alon gthe lines of 'Oh my life sucks, and I was born emo.' (Okay, so no self-respecting emo person would say it exactly in that manner, but you get the idea...)

Just shove it. No one is born goth or punk or emo or prep or whatever. It's not GENETIC for Ifrit's sake, and you can choose not to be emo. Cheesy as it may ~~smell~~ sound, EVERYONE CAN CHOOSE WHAT THEY WANT TO BE. So don't come give me that crap about 'My family background is tragic, yadda yadda, so I can't help but be emo.' I know people who have less than wonderful families, but they're not emo. I have more respect for people who can smile despite a 'tragic background' as opposed to those who wallow in self-pity.

I Just Realised That All My Post Titles Kinda Suck

Lol, BACK FROM MY CRUISE TO NOWHERE~ Luckily (or unluckily, depending on whether you like me or not) the ship didn't sink, capsize, get attacked by pirates etc.

The ship itself was... Quite nice XD (SuperStar Virgo) But it was fiendishly difficult to get from one place to another... Stupid floorplan D: And the Cabins were super super cramped =/ My bathroom at home looks huuuuge now XD They had Disney Channel! :D I ended up staying in the cabin most of the time, watching random cartoons like Kim Possible (Somewhat okayish after you get used to it, but I still don't get the K/R pairing) , Totally Spies (My heart weeps for the overuse of the word totally D: ) and Monster Allergy (the Z/E pairing made me irritated because it was so over emphasized...). I really really liked 'The Emperor's New School' though XD It's so... Spastically funny? XD

The food was AMAZING. Like seriously. I loved the BBQ they had on Saturday, and there was even a band performing~ The food is <33 BBQ Chicken, Sausage, Steamed Prawns, Rendang, and there was even ice-cream with those nice sprinkles on top <333 Um, we ate at this restaurant, I think it was Bella Vista or something like that, and the dessert was GREAT. They were called profiteroles, which are like little buns filled with chocolate ice-cream. (Google it XD ) And their Curry with rice was quite nice, except the curry isn't spicy at all ):

They had a library!! And there were so many books about art!!! I read about Dali, daVinci, Van Gogh etc. I think I spent the whole morning there XDDD There was an arcade too!!!! I love shooting games where they actually give you a fake gun to shoot with :DDD Oh, and we saw this magician perform, I think he's not so much magical, more of he's really fast, and he knows how to divert attention well XD;; But I didn't see his actual show, so I can't really say anything... ^^;

1) I was never good at hearing whether two sounds were the same
2) I know that the sound is wrong, but I still don't know how to tune it
3) I'm damn scared the string will break -___-
Therefore, I shall lug it to school in its really old case, and ask someone pro like Yin Leng or Keiza or Shze Hui to help me tune it :D Assuming it's still tunable, and the strings don't snap or something >__>

Cosfest '07 @ Downtown East!

It totally didn't disappoint. Or maybe that was because I wasn't expecting much after the one at Civic Plaza ||OTL Haha, met and lost Candy, Sam, Junyu, Bek, Mish, Jo and Sarah throughout the 6 hours I was there XD And I took loads of pictures XD

Oh, and now, let me rant about my favourite part, even though this only took place in the later half XDDDD;; I was asking this superb Axel cosplayer (Seriously, she had the best hair among all the Axels there, it looked great.) if I could take her photo and she (I think it was a she? XD ) went like 'Come Roxas' or 'Roxas come' I can't remember exactly, but something along those lines XD And I was like grinning at the time (Hey, not my fault, Kath's the one who's been telling me to like AkuRoku XD ) And the Axel cosplayer said something along the lines of 'I have no accessory, so I'll just grab Roxas along' XDDD And then, the most wonderful, fangirlable moment came next XD;;

Ahaha AkuRoku FTW! XD;; The suggestive-ness of the pose! XD (But my crappy camera totally butchered the shot because of the lousy flash DD': )

Cosfest @ Civic Plaza!

...Yes, I'm home already. In fact, I left around 6.00 (Blasphemous, yes I know.) I think this one wasn't as good as last year's, but we'll see how the Downtown East one goes XD And now, for my regular disjointed ranting about things~!

The Place
They set up a little tent-like-thing at Civic Plaza and there were security checks with metal detectors that you had to pass to get in -____- All because Mr. Lee Kuan Yew was coming... The tentage itself was... Horrible. There was really little walking space between tables, and even less space for cosplayers to pose and take photos. Gah. And if you stand to the left of the stage, there's this stupid platform that none of the performers used (I think it was for later's speech) which prevented proper photo-taking. I liked last year's venue better. Hopefully the one on the 15th will be better. Oh, and there was a drastic lack of chairs, because a lot of them were reserved for the VIPs.

The Cosplayers
Didn't see any FullMetal Alchemist cosplayers this year :( There were quite a few Kingdom Hearts cosplayers though. I think there were at least two Kairis and Namines, and there was a Roxas too. There was a whole group that cosplayed Kingdom Hearts for the competition (I didn't really understand their skit but their costumes were love.) but I don't think they cosplayed everyone in the Organization... I remember seeing Sora, Xemnas (Not in his Organization cloak, sadly), Marluxia (Loved the Scythe), Saix, Axel, Roxas, Demyx, Xigbar, Larxene and I think Vexen? There might have been a Zexion, but I don't remember XD;;

I also liked the Suzumiya Haruhi group XD They had practically everybody in the series!!! They performed the Hare Hare Yukai dance mixed with the Lucky Star Opening XD It was super nice, and I thought they were quite coordinated, for such a big group. The person who cosplayed Yuki held up a '...' placard when the MC asked if she had any comments XDDD

There were quite a lot of guy cross-players this year, much to my surprise XD;; I didn't really expect so many guys to cosplay as girls XDDDD;; And the girls they cosplayed wore skirts too XDDD I salute their guts!

No FullMetal Alchemist cosplayers this year, sadly. But I did see a few InuYasha ones~ I saw Sesshoumaru, Rin, InuYasha and Kagura. There were also quite a lot of Ouran HSHC cosplayers. And of course, there were the people who dressed up as Lolis too XD Oh, and there was a Tales of the Abyss group, that looked really good.

Overall, I found the cosplayers really good. Their costumes were spot on, and looked very good. Most of them also had some kind of props with them too :D One of the few things I didn't like, was that there weren't many huge weapons this time. And I didn't see any FFVII cosplayers :(

The Booths
Toounit from dA was there!!! And Jo was totally fangirling XD I wanted to buy his artbook, but it's so darn expensive ;___; His prints were really pretty too :D And he was colouring a picture there. His Copic skills are so 1337 ;___;

There were quite a lot of nice prints and stuff, but I don't really buy a lot of that stuff, so I ended up only buying a 50 cent bookmark XD;; Maybe on the 15th I'll buy the Rozen Maiden prints from Kuridoki and/or he Fate Stay Night bookmark, assuming she's selling then =/ And Jo owes me $3 XDDD It's too bad you lost your money D:

There were also a few stalls selling old manga and Loli items, but I felt that there weren't as many booths. Hopefully there'll be more on the 15th...

The Not-So-Fun Part
I totally got ignored by someone I thought was a close friend in favour of someone else. But whatever. Next time I'll make sure I have someone to drag around with me for the whole of Cosfest. Thanks to Jo for putting up with me dragging you all over the place randomly XDDDD

There wasn't a graffiti board :( But maybe there will be one at Downtown East, so I'll just wait and see :D

Anyway, even with the shortcomings, Cosfest was a BLAST. I hope the Downtown East one will be as good as, or better than, last year's though. Because although this round was fun, it was somewhat disappointing...

Do you have any idea how hypocritical you're being when you criticise me for reading bl? Fine, it may not be your cup of tea, but I was in no way making you read it, was I? If you don't like it, fine. I can understand that. What I don't understand is why you acted as though I was gay or something. Reading bl fics doesn't make one gay. Come to think of it, there's nothing wrong with being gay is there? And if you don't like it, don't read it. Why do you insist on torturing yourself? Besides, it wasn't as though I was reading some kind of R-rated fic, unlike some of the het fics that I know you read. So quit being a pompous windbag already.

In other news, KATHY YOU ARE A BIG FAT (generous) OVERLY RICH LOSER. I told you not to send me anything else, now what am I supposed to give you in return??? It's not like I can buy you anything you can't get D: Just send me letters next time! But thanks for the stuff anyway.

Rantings on the Starboard Side~!

...But first off, ONLY 3 MORE DAYS LEFT~

And now, onto the rant! We got our Tribune magazine today :D While I'm not the type to be interested in the subject matter, I still found it mildly amusing. And the articles were written very well. Buuut~! The article on page 6 annoyed me greatly (No guesses as to which article I'm referring to~).

First off, let me just say that I agree with the writer's point of view (Don't try to make yourself look like anime characters, because anime is purely fictional.) but, after reading the article, I got the impression that the writer only watched Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and whatever trashy dubs Kids Central is playing now.

The thing that irks me most in the article is that FF:AC can hardly be considered an anime. At the very most, it borders on the edge of anime, threatening to fall into the group which is simply, CGI Films. And I don't understand why the writer believes that 'people who keep up with the anime scene must have seen, or at least heard of the movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children'. Like I said before, FF:AC is hardly anime. Most people know about it because they are familiar with Square Enix, and allow me to generalise here and say that if you haven't head of Squeenix, or popular titles such as Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, then you've been living under a rock all this time. Besides, the majority of the people who watched the movie were the people who played the game, or were introduced to the movie by friends who played the game.

Furthermore, the writer's opinion that 'there isn't an "age-limit" as to what types of anime one can watch' is wrong. If you have ever tried going to a store to buy anime box sets, it is obvious that anime is rated, and there are anime that are PG13, NC16, etc. So if you choose to ignore the labels, well, that's your own problem isn't it? Perhaps I misunderstood the writer's statement, but anime is definitely not without an age-limit. And since when did anime show 'unhealthy intepretations of the human body'? If that's true, then trash all the magazines and destroy the movies, for the actors in those shows give off unhealthy intepretations of the human body too!

And, I would like to rebuke the point that 'Anime characters tend to be recognised by their ridiculously big and watery eyes that would look horrific on a real human being, although recent works have shown a reduction in the size of such eyes' Um, wrong on both counts there. While anime characters do have big eyes, I have no impression of them being watery, unless floods of tears are flowing in order to create comedic sadness. And who says all old anime characters have big eyes? Cowboy Bebop isn't exactly a new anime. And as for recent works showing a reduction in the size of such eyes... Shakugan no Shanna Season 2, Jigoku Shoujo Season 2 and Nanoha Strikers were all pretty recent, and I don't see small eyes. Furthermore, the point about most heroines being rather thin except for her obscenely protruding chest is completely moot. Shows like Magical Girl Nanoha, Digimon and Rurouni Kenshin have heroines whose bust size is completely normal, thank you very much. While it is true that women with ample bosoms often appear in anime, this is used solely for comedic humour, and the increased appeal is often not a factor.

While I find that the article is well-written, I do not like the fact that some of the points make it seem that the writer has not watched much anime. And if you're angry because I have offended you, I apologise. If it makes you feel better, just think that these are all the rantings of an overly fanatical anime lover.

P.S. You would think that people in FFAC would have more toned bodies because they spent the whole FFVII game battling random monsters and the like :D

COSFEST'07~!

AHHHH I CAN'T WAAAAAIT!!!! I WISH NEXT SATURDAY WOULD HURRY UP AND GET HERE (Even though I'm still not 100% sure if I can go, or if anyone else that I know is going XD )

Oh and randomly, because Kathy wanted me to (WTH is wrong with you?!), I shall list some of my favourite anime and games here XD;; Manga may come at a later time XD Somewhat in order of merit, but the order is not fixed because I am teh fickle XD

Anime
1. Fullmetal Alchemist! Oh gosh, I just can't get enough of this anime~! And Ed is <3 I love the drawing style, and the character developement is great. The story was quite good too, although it diverged from the anime alot (Not counting the movie because the movie was quite random and had a canon sue >___> )

2. Chrno Crusade. (Yes, it's spelt Chrno.) The only anime where I go 'Awww' at the romance scenes XD Okay, I exaggerate but you get the idea. Great storyline, new ideas, and beautiful fast-paced animation. Lots of nice heart-warming scenes too~ I still need to get Box Set 2 ;___;

3. Saiyuki RELOAD~ Haha, this one never ceases to amuse me XD It has its serious moments, but the humour is good. Even in the second last episode (Which is usually the serious, no nonsense episode) there was still ridiculously funny stuff happening XDDD The only creepy thing about it? The evil scientist guy who so has a Hojo Complex >___> Seriously, I think they're like twins or something >___>;;

4. Hellsing!!!! Blood, gore, and a good storyline. What more could anyone ask for? XD;; But really. Not many anime stereotypes, and the animation rocks :D I love the drawing style too :DDD And the music was awesome. Fight scenes were <3 too! And AxI is THE best pairing <3

5. Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu. Better late than never right? C: This anime makes much more sense if watched chronogically, and it's very random but fun XD The only thing I don't like is how all of the girls seem to have some sort of inexplicable attraction to Kyon =____= Oh, and Yuki Nagato is love.

Games
1. Final Fantasy VII! Yes, the graphics aren't exactly what you'd call good by today's standards. But the storyline is cool, and the characters are <3 The minigames were... Unique XD (Dolphins tossing Cloud up into the air anyone?) and I loved the date scene XD (I took Yuffie, Duh.) Ohoh, and the weapons were amusing. Liek srsly.

2. Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. The Gameboy Advance version because I'm too poor to get a PlayStation. But the storyline kept me hooked, and the card battle system with no turn-based fighting was quite unique and fun. The game also had a lot more worlds than I expected XD Oh, and Shadow Heartless are cute <3

3. Septerra Core! Something like Final Fantasy, but I like the world, which is quite unique. The characters are cool too, and the storyline, although conforming to the 'Let's save the World from this raving lunatic' stereotype, has it's own unique elements too. The enemies and monsters are cool, and everything is marvelously rendered.

4. Final Fantasy VIII. Interesting storyline up to a point, and I liked being able to boost Squall's gunblade, but I didn't really like the 'Your HP has to be below xxx before you can use your Limit Breaks.' Not to mention the romance between Squall and Rinoa was totally unrealistic and overplayed, and saving Rinoa's whiney ass got old after the first time. The monsters and backgrounds were pretty though.

5. Fire Emblem! Yay for tactician games XDDD;; Storyline is good, the range of jobs is interesting, and the only sad thing is that your party members can't be revived after they die in a battle, and they don't tell you that >___> (The 'dead' characters will still continue with you on your journey, but they won't be able to be chosen for battle.)

Argh there's so many more I want to list ;___; Oh well XD

Hoho, went to Taman Negara (it's in Malaysia), just got back yesterday XD RAPID SHOOTING IS <3 JUNGLE TREKKING IS <333 Sitting in the car for hours... Not so fun XDD

To get to Taman Negara, we had to drive for a really long time. We were in a convoy(sp?) which is like a whole group of cars drving together. So you just play follow the leader XDDD Driving in Malaysia is scary o__O;;

We stayed in Kuantan for the first night, and we reached Taman Negara in the late afternoon. That evening, we went to visit the Orang Asli settlement. Blowpipes are teh kewl. And we got blowpipe darts for souveniers XD We also say how to start up a fire, using rattan and some kind of wood.

The next morning, we went trekking through the jungle. No roads at all, only small and narrow clearings XD I love trekking. It's amazingly fun~! According to the signposts, I trekked a total of 10km up and down a hill, but I think it was more since I was idiotic and took all the side roads and windy paths XD i went alone since no one else in my family was crazy enough to go past the part that leads to the canopy walk XD Going up was slightly harder than coming down, because afer 1.5km, the hill started getting seriously steep... And coming down was... Easier but scarier, because the whole hill was slippery and stuff. I saw like... three people slip down when I was going down o__O;; They lost their footing and... Slid down. So freaky... Luckily I didn't fall, but I did lose my footing once or twice. I really should get proper hiking boots XD;; Oh, and then I had to go for the canopy walk because my mom insisted (it's supposed to be the highlight of the trekking) and did I mention I hate heights..? Guh, the view was quite nice, but the stupid bridge had to creak and clank and shake (It's a suspension bridge. Held up waaay up high in the air by ROPES.) and generally act like it was going to fall at any minute. Gah.

Oh and then, at 4.00PM, we went Rapid Shooting~ It's basically sitting in a boat, going up river, and getting bumped by the rapids. So it means you get really really wet XDDDD The guide was really nice, he purposely told the boatman to bump us more and get us wetter XDDDD Unfortunately, I was in the front part of the boat so I didn't get as wet as my dad. Darn. Oh well, next time I'll just sit really far back :D On the way upriver, we also saw a Rhinoceros(sp?) Hornbill. It was freakishly big o__O;;

Oh, we stayed in adjoining chalet-ish Kampong style houses. It was really nice, but sorta dirty... Dust and dead bugs all over the place >__> Oh, and the place is amazing- we saw wild boars, frogs, monkeys and deer. They apparently had black leopards, but sadly, I didn't manage to see any D: There were also loads of birds and bugs XD We only stayed there for one day, so we couldn't do a lot of stuff D: And I didn't go white water rafting after all, because the rapids weren't strong enough DDD: Oh well. Hopefully I get to go there again some day XDDD

Johto. I loved all the pokemon in that region, plus it was the first region I explored XD

Uh Johto. Probably because it was my first series XDDDD And a lot of the pokemon have interesting designs (Cyndaquil, Quilava and Typlosion!) And I loved Lugia! But Hoenn has some pretty cool pokemon too (like Altaria XD ).

Ahaha, I've been so high lately even though I've barely talked to any schoolmates at all XD Kathy this is all your fault~ Since it's the holidays, I've been staying up late (Oh but don't I always? XD ) and Kathy and I have been having inane RPs and convos for hours on end XDDD Therefore, my high-ness shall be attributed to her~

Last night we had this huge sketchfest XD And we were half drawing half RP-ing, which made for a lot of chaos and weird stuff happening XDDD RP-ing Hellsing characters are fun! And Kath sent me loads of screenshots from the new Hellsing OVA, and now I really can't wait to get my hands on it TTATT I can't find it anywhere... Oh gosh, everyone looks so cool~ Alucard looks as insane as ever <3 And Walter looks suitably insane too, considering that ~~he was such an ass and betrayed Hellsing for some stupid fat and short guy D<~~. Guh. But I don't like how Integra looks... nothing much has changed, but her eyes are... freaky. And she doesn't seem to have the same 'aura' from before ;___; Which is sad, 'cuz Integra was one of the majorly interesting people in the original anime, and she totally kicks ass :D When I first read the manga, I thought the crazy guy sprouting cat ears from Millenium, whats his name... Uh Schrodinger or something? was a girl =____= And I think he still looks girly in the OVA. And Rip is just... Weird as ever XDDD Regardless, I still want to get the OVA ;___;

Okay, and now on to the non-anime related part... Uh... This is like really late, but the wedding at Fort Canning on Saturday was so cool <3 And I got to play PB XDDDD Crash course FTW! Heheh. The rest of this post will be like... Stuff about the wedding and performance, so if you're not interested, might as well stop reading XD

1) THE PLACE
Oh gosh it was lovely <3 The pillars were covered/half-covered in ferns, and the bride and groom walked in under this canopy of woven twigs, with random leaves scattered on top. And the table were white with a square of green cloth, and in the middle of the table, there were flowers and candles. The chairs were also white, and they had green cloth wrapped around it and a palm? frond at the back. (Yes, I know my descriptions suck XD I'll try to upload some sketches later on...) The place was like a perfect mix between Western and Malay style weddings (The groom was from New Zealand and the bride was Fads' sister)

2) THE PEOPLE
I LOVE THE PEOPLE WHO ATTENDED THE WEDDING~ Heheh. Before the performance even started, this New Zealander came over and told us he was looking forward to hearing us play. And then during the performance itself, we had a couple of song requests- One man asked us to play Bengawan Solo again sometime later, and another guy asked us to play something more Javanese (I think) XD Oh, and there was this table of really nice people who clapped everytime we finished playing a song~ And one lady actually came over and shook eveyone's hand, and told us she enjoyed our playing! So sweet of her <3 Ahh so not like the reception where everyone ignores us and just eats XD Here everyone was obviously eating too, but they appreciated us! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THERE FOR MAKING THE PERFORMANCE SO ENJOYABLE <3

3) THE FOOD
We ate lunch at Long John Silvers 'cuz the MacDonalds disappeared XD And Kak Farida subsidised us $2 each lol. I don't like Long John Silvers THAT much, I find their food abit too salty and oily @___@ We ate dinner early XD And the Nasi Briyani was amazingly good :D the curry and chicken were delicious too~ Then later, after all the guests took their dessert, we got more dessert lol WE'RE ALL GREEDY PIGS AT HEART~ XD The food was so goooooood :DDDD

4) THE PHOTOGRAPHERS
I tell you they're nuts. Taking so many pictures of us even while we were practising @___@ And the flash is... blinding XDDDD It is insanely hard to concentrate on getting the chord changes correct, especially when I'm already a horrible n00b and it doesn't help when there's this bright flash every few seconds. how do celebrities stand it? XD And the ~~crazy~~ photographer even took a picture of the angklungs left on the ground, and, according to Candice, the PB mallets, which is just... so weird XDDD They (Yes, there were two, for some unfanthomable reason) must have hundreds of photos of us XDDD

5) THE FANGIRLING
Samantha and Farah were fangirling over one of the New Zealanders there XD And then at first I didn't understnad what was going on, 'cuz they were saying something about Dracula |D So then when they pointed to the guy that Samantha and Farah werwe fangirling over, I was like 'He doesn't look like Dracula!!!!' and Samantha went 'Not him!!! The other person looks like Dracula!' but I never got to see the Dracula lookalike. Sad... ;___; Oh, and I don't see what's so particularly fangirlable over the guy who was apparently very cute, but then, I have weird tastes. Insane silver haired generals with psychopatic thoughts and OCD to destroy the world anybody? XD

But the whole thing was still fuuuuuun~ I hope we get to perform at another show that's as fun as this one sometime soon :D

Eh... I suppose this qualifies as a rant :D So don't bother reading, it's really quite mindless I think.

Anyway. Someone today told me: "You draw pretty well. But I can do much better if only I had Prismacolour Pencils." Um... The fact that I can't draw aside, I use Faber-Castell Colour Pencils, not Prisma, so I don't really understand why she said that but yeah... i get the general idea though. Maybe I'm wrong, but the impression I got was that she was saying her tools sucked, therefore her art sucked.

I didn't see her art, so I don't know if it was good or bad or what, but I still don't think she should blame her tools. I mean, although in art, it sometimes matters if you have like... really lousy pencils that break once you touch the lead onto the paper, but other than that, if you have an unbranded colour pencil that works, versus some well-known brand, it doesn't really matter does it? It won't affect your colouring skills that much!

Another thing I've seen recently, is that a lot of people want to buy supposedly 1337 equipment just because their favourite artist uses them. I mean in the sense that they think that once they get whatever equipment they wanted, their drawing skill will suddenly skyrocket. Which is just... Weird.

Heheh, now I feel hypocritical 'cuz I wanted a tablet 'cuz I thought that it would make my digital art better >///< In a sense it did, and I don't regret getting one, but I suppose I got it for the wrong reasons. Same thing with Copics XDDD;; I admit, a part of me only wanted them because everyone else was using them, and I'm certainly not proud of that. But again, that did seem somewhat necessary, 'cuz all the markers I had gave me really streaky lines, and Copics are <3 XD

But anyway. The point of this rant: It doesn't matter what tools you have, if you only have Microsoft Paint, keep using it until other people think "FTW THIS WAS MADE USING PAINT?!?!" (In the good way of course XDDDD ) Art isn;t about the tools, it's about the Artist :D

... Right. Do I look/sound THAT sick? Because the first thing people ask when they see/hear me is 'Are you sick?' -____- Ugh. Not that I don't appreciate the concern (Although I suspect some people want me to die off faster XD) but after people ask you that 1234567890 times and you ARE feeling sick, it really doesn't help much >___< So if I have accidentally offended you somehow, uh... Sorry?

I don't think it helped much that I went to the cinema to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. I didn't feel cold (Thick skin FTW XD) but my mom informed me that my hands were freezing when we left the cinema. But I'm so glad I went, it was AMAZING <3 Much better than POTC2, but POTC1 still pwns. But I think it made me sicker TAT I'm coughing and sneezing and my fever came back DDD: And I can't go for Angklung practice tomorrow DDDDD: Argh.

Anyway, I shall now fangirl over POTC3. SPOILERS AHEAD~ Don't read further if you don't want it being spoilt. (I highly advise you to watch it first 'cuz it ROCKS and you really don't want it all spoilt for you.) But I think everyone's watched it already, so the warning is kinda redundant XD

I think one of my favourite parts of the movie was when somebody (don't remember who) went 'Those aren't Pieces of Eight!' (Referring to the Nine Pieces of Eight) and then Mr. Gibbs (I think) explained that the original ones were Pieces of Eight but one broke or something, and then the other person asked 'Why don't they change the name then?' And Mr. Gibbs replied 'Better than calling them Nine Pieces of Whatever we Happen to Have in Our Pockets.' XDDDD

Jack's (actual) entrance was teh kewl. As in the part where he was 'sailing in' on the Black Pearl, not the part where he was sniffing around the peanut XD Jack without his shirt on so equals fanservice, but his tattoos are cool~ Haha, Jack overload in this movies XDDD Him talking to himself is funny.

Ohoh, the part where Jack was running back and forth aboard the Pearl (when he figured out what the map meant) was hilarous. At first I thought he saw/was looking for something or was just being plain weird (I mean come on, he's Jack!) and I only figured out that he was trying to tilt the boat when they showed the ship rocking. I found it quite funny that the rest of the crew just randomly joined in without knowing exactly what was going on XDDDD

Oh, another nice quote was when the random East India Trading Company (hereby referred to as EITC for brevity) admiralish guy went (referring to Jack) 'I wonder if he plans it all or just makes it up as he goes along?' XDDDDD

Davy Jones standing in a bucket was... XD It was such an obvious solution to his problem of not being able to go on land that I don't think anyone expected it (I mean come on, that would make it almost too easy right? XDDD )

Haha, but all in all, it was an amazing movie, special effects were great (if a bit overwhelming), and even though there was an unholy number of rather pointless subplots, it will still great <3 Oh, and I am so buying the soundtrack when it comes out :D

I should be studying for Chinese, but I can't be bothered especially since the holidays are so near. It's so silly to still have class after exams. No one really wants to study, and it's really a mood dampener.

I've been feeling very lethargic lately (Although my mom claims that's just because I'm lazy) and I've been for a couple of scans (The next one's scheduled for uh... Next Wednesday or Thursday, don't really remember...) and the frustrating thing is that the doctors won't tell me what's wrong!!! I think they told my mom who told them not to tell me, because when I asked the doctor, he said 'We don't want to alarm you.' But he can't expect my mom to keep bringing me back if he doesn't tell her what they suspect is wrong with me right!?!? Gah.

I really think my health is slipping. I have a sore throat, mild fever, and my wrist started acting up again. Now it hurts when I do stuff like bending it 45 degrees or more, and it's making it hard to write and draw properly. I hope nothing's wrong with it, because then, I can't play angklung DDDD: I refuse to let that happen! D<

...On the bright side, if I am sick, that would probably mean that I could get two more days of holidays XD

AMaths exam on Thursday ;__; I'm going to phail so badly that I'll get negative marks... I loathe AMaths, it's fiendishly difficult for me, and what makes it worse is that you're in a class with people so pro, they just look at the worksheet and finish it in a blink of an eye. Gah.

No really, I haven't been able to sleep at all since Friday. Which is why I'm now staring at the computer with my eyes half-closed on a Saturday night, so excuse the spelling/grammer mistakes.

Ah well. Sporkings are the funnest stuff on the planet :D The only bad part is that you have to read the badfic! too *shudders* Although sometimes I feel bad for the people who's fanfics are being sporked... But some are just so 'wtf' inducing that I can't feel sorry for them at all =/ I mean, if they make the main character horribly OOC and then make them fall for the Sue who is just so obviously a self-insert then well, I suppose that kind of stuff sort of deserves to be sporked =/ I have nothing against characters paired with OCs, but if the OC is this marvelous, speshul, 1337 person with an oh-so-cliche tragic past and the ability to use all the powers in the universe then... That just isn't right >__<;; By no means am I flaming people who create Sues, I'm just saying that fanfics where the main character falls madly in love with the Sue generally doesn't sit well with most of the sane fandom... (I've been guilty of creating Sues before, but thankfully, I didn't post anythign containing them online XD What a relief.) Moral of the story: Sues belong in your head not on the web XDD

It's scary how much I digress... Although I suppose if I was not so sleepy, I would probably hae digressed even more and started talking about the Sahara Desert or something XDDD

I saw a pretty phoenix today, and I stood watching as it slowly retired to let the darkness take its place. I stood there for a little over ten mintues and some may say that I wasted my time, but I think it was worth it.

I think I totally flunked all my tests. My Japanese test results were... Horrible. Terrible. Atrocious. orz And we're getting back our papers tomorrow... I don't suppose the teachers will be kind enough to keep our papers and not give them back..?

I'm not sure what I want in life anymore. I don't know why I'm studying, I don't know why my test scores are so horrible, and most importantly, I don't know how to improve them. And frankly, I don't think I care anymore. Maybe I never cared in the first place, and I'm just sick of trying to care. Well whatever it is, I just can't bring myself to care anymore. And I'm thoroughly sick of school. Screw it, I just want the holidays to start.

...I'm bored. And I already finished my drawing quota for the day. And I watched the FMA ending again, and I cried again. Blah, FMA (the anime) is probably the only anime that made me cry so many times. The other animes that made me cry were Chrno Crusade (The ending ;o; ) and Peacemaker Kurogane (The part where Ayumu died).

But anyway, I'm bored again. And I started a picture, but since I am an idiot who doesn't know how to do lighting correctly, I don't feel like continuing XD Yes, my boredom is self-inflicted, but I really can't be bothered to change. And no one's online, so I don't have anybody to annoy... Oh well. I guess I'll just go replay some random game that's lying around XDD

YES, Exams are finally over. Whoohoo~!

But I think I flunked my Maths... I totally screwed question 6 ;o; Argh... *Stabs the Paper* But I will not let that spoil my celebrating XD No more mugging until next term~ Ahaha.

Ah but anyway, here's a random picture I doodled to relieve stress last night. I was seriously sick of mugging for Maths... Fat lot of good it did >:O (You may want to advert your eyes as excessive exposure to fugly-ness may cause your retinas to implode =x Don't say I didn't warn you...)

Erk, it looks horrible... I was experimenting with a new method of colouring on openCanvas, so I didn't really bother checking my mistakes for the really rushed sketch. Besides, all I really did was just splash colours onto the canvas XD;; Argh the horrible failed colour scheme...

Oh yeah. The song 'Bratja (Brothers)' from Fullmetal Alchemist rocks <33 But the lyrics are so sad... Or at least, the lyrics for the English version are. I prefer the Russian? (Well it's definitely not English or Japanese XD) version over the English version, although I have no idea what they're saying. I figure the lyrics are about the same though. Hehheh. I hope the Elric brothers get a happier-than-the-movie-ending ending in the manga though. Because even though happy endings are cliche, the Elric brothers definitely deserve a happy ending.

Drawings?

Should I or should I not post them up? XD I mean, I do have a deviantART account, but I don't particularly want to flood it with all the random sketches I do. Cuz the stuff I'm talking about are more like doodles than actual drawings so... XD And they're of even worse quality (le gasp, is it even possible??) than my normal drawings so I don't really think I should post them there. But because I am random, I thought of posting it here.

Actually come to think of it, this post is pretty random, because 1) No one will respond to the question and 2) It is a blog so I don't really see what's wrong if I randomly post pictures here XD Oh well.

I hate exams, really. Stupid mind-numbing things. Especially philosophy exams. I just don't understand how they think making us write something within a 1 hour time limit will be an accurate representation of what we know about the normative theories we learnt. And where does philosophy come into our daily lives? Like 'Evaluate the morality of peeling a potato based on the three normative theories'??? XD Sorry, not feeling particularly sane today XDDD

Oh yes, I totally screwed up my English today. I think I went over the word limit too ><;; And my second last paragraph was rushed, because I thought I didn't have enough time to finish it. And then I realised I had time, so I didn't rush the last paragraph. Then I didn't have enough time to go back and edit the second paragraph >__>;; I think I wasted too much time on the introduction T__T Gahh. Exams induce unecessary stress. And tomorrow is Geography (THE Killer Memory Game) and Chinese (DIE.). What a horrible combination -___- They think they're doing us a favour when they squoosh it all together but they're NOT.

Cosplay

I write this because I'm bored. Actually the title should be 'Why I should be allowed to cosplay' but that's a longer and more boring title :D

For those who don't know, Cosplay(コスプレ) is short for 'Costume Play', and it basically refers to the act of dressing up as a character from an anime, manga, video game, movie etc. Cosplay competitions (usually held at conventions) allow fans to dress up as their favourite character, pose for photos and win prizes. Hardcore fans can treat cosplaying very seriously, sometimes spending months making their costume.

So anyway. I want to cosplay. But my mom refuses to let me, on accounts that it's a pointless thing to do (I can't really understand why she finds it pointless but oh well). And I'm sure some people agree with her XD so here is a list of reasons why I should be allowed to cosplay:
1) It's fun XD
2) It's cool XDD
3) It's interesting.
4) It's a great way to meet more people with the same interests.
5) It helps you show your support for your favourite character x3
6) It teaches you how to be resourceful and innovative when making your costume.
7) Depending on what materials you use, the cost can vary and it usually isn't very expensive.
8) There are like, only two conventions in Singapore, so all the more I should get to cosplay for one of them XD;;
9) I probably won't be able to cosplay when I get too old XD so all the more I should do it now.
10) Because I want to XD

But yeah... It's cool, and I'm definitely going to cosplay at least once in my life, no matter how stupid I'll look! XD Oh, and there are loads of characters I want to cosplay as, but I'l either look really stupid if I dress like them, or else... The costumes just seem way too difficult to make XDD But anyway...

List of People I want to Cosplay:
VINCENT (FFVII) -> Oh come on, this one is obvious isn't it XD He's cool, his clothes are cool x3 and he's just so lovable XDDD And it's possible to get his hairstyle without using a wig XD
Problems-> He's so tall ;__; I think he's like, 183 cm or something XDD And besides, I don't look like him (as in face shape and build)
Yuffie (FFAC/DoC)-> Because her AC/DoC costumes are cool. And because she's cute :D And she's only 160cm XDDD And if I cosplay her, I would have a legitimate reason to build a giant throwing star XDD
Problems-> Her hair is short XD And the throwing star, although cool, would be a total headache to make.
Quistis (FFVIII)-> Cuz she's kickass :D And her hairstyle doesn't defy gravity, and seems relatively easy to style.
Problems-> Her costume borders on pink *shudders*
Souji (Peacemaker Kurogane)-> He's really really really good at fighting, and his personality is... funny XD And the Shinsengumi uniform seems pretty simple (at least, compared to some other characters)
Problems -> Have you seen how long his hair is???
Chrno (Chrno Crusade)-> His personality is the <3
Problems -> Hair length once again... And his clothes appear vaguely difficult to make XD

And there's loads more I want to cosplay, but I think I've already established that I'm nuts to everyone in a 10km radius so I shall stop for now XD

...Figures, the first post of my blog, and I'm already nuts XD I ODed on chocolate while writing this, so that should explain some of it XD Oh, and if you read until here, you get a cookie! XD
